hondaax1_1.jpgHonda AX1 (2007.07 - 2013.02.28) The Honda AX1(or the NX-250 overseas) is a 250cc dual-sport motorcycle that was only manufactured for a limited time in Japan. It was often recommended as a good bike for women riders because of its lower seat and soft suspension. It's got a natural up-right riding position, and takes turns with very little effort. The suspension makes for good touring, but is rugged enough to handle mountain roads, and the tires have enough bite for rocky and dirty paths. It's just barely big enough for my legs, but is a pleasure to ride on congested and narrow Japanese roads. Bought from Honda Wing Iwao in Oita. ~JPY 200,000

hondagyrox_1.jpgHonda Gyro X (2006.03-2007.08) The Honda Gyro series of scooters were unique in that the engine was mounted to a two-wheeled rear axle, while the rest of the frame was free to lean during turns. This 3-wheel design allowed quick stops to be made with a simple hand-brake to park the vehicle standing up. The ease of use led to their adoption as the vehicle of choice for pizza, drink and noodle-delivery services across the country. ~JPY 20,000

fordmustang_1.jpgFord Mustang (1998-2003) My first car, and mode of transportation to and from high school in the Woodlands. The most American car you'll ever find, the mustang is known for its huge engines, cool styling and cultural status. While the get-up-and-go of the engine is great, the car doesn't handle particularly well, and the light back end will spin out on slightly wet curves if you use the accelerator at all. (The hot-rodded Mustang is always the first car to bite the dust in street racing movies). Parents sold it out from under me while I was away in Japan. :( Probably for the best though.
