The 1987-1991 Toyota Corolla Levin was the first front-wheel drive Corolla and was the best-selling car of its type to date. Due to the over-selling and undervaluation of the model however, it became one of the most exported models too, setting new records. Now it's almost as rare as even older corolla models. This was the first car that I bought on my own, and taught me more about driving, parking, buying insurance, registering license plates, repairing and painting than any other vehicle. The solid build of its engine is legendary, and it truly did outlast everything else in the car. In the end all the electrical, safety, paint and body-related problems became too much to handle. I'm passing on the engine to a friend who will see to it that the engine is put to good use. Levin, I'll miss you!

Overview of the work I've done on the car in the past, including repair work, beautification, and experimentation.
After the new van arrived, I pulled it up near the Corolla's parking spot, leaving the engine running. I hopped in my car to back it out of the spot, and wouldn't ya know it, the engine wouldn't start! #%*&#! Totally random problem, but sometimes the engine is in just the right angle so it sticks. I had to put the transmission in high gear and rock the car until the engine grudgingly turned over. Stubborn to the last, but it was a nice drive over to Fukuoka. Mr. Tsukaguchi in Koge agreed to take the engine and parts that people are still interested in. Goodbye Levin!
Purchased from a car shop in Fukuoka called “ThirtyNine” or something. Would NOT recommend you let them do any repair work on your vehicle.
